Below is the original blurb as we promoted this run on MINI2 and NewMiniSeverns.
The main run will be on the Sunday and again we have camping and a fun
get together on the Saturday before the run. We will be on site at the
campsite from about 3pm onwards, so any campers please join us for food
al fresco or a pub meal. The camping is at The Marlbank Inn - the same
place we used last year and it is ideal. Basically it is camping in the
grounds of the pub which will be open until 1am!!!! The pub has
reserved a whole field for the mini run so if we can fill the field
with MINI campers we will have a great time - camping is from £6 for
two adults depending on size of tent. For those making a weekend of it
there will be a smaller run on the Saturday morning prior to the tent
pitching rituals - this will run from the malverns to The Forest of
Dean showcasing the stunning scenery in that part of the world!
Bookings should be made as soon as possible by phone, quoting MINI EVENT when you book. Tel No 01684 310603
As
with the previous years, we have opted for a buffet style lunch on the
Sunday. This is still going to be a fiver a head and we will pm
everyone on the run regarding this in due course. The buffet will be at
the Marlbank Inn, who are setting up a marquee for us, as before.
Hopefully it should be a hot day we will be able to cascade into their
gardens with our food. We are using the pub as a stop as it has good
plentiful parking, which is a rare in The Malverns in Summer and it
hedges our bets should the weather be drizzly. We hope this appeals to
everyone, but if anyone has any questions please PM me with them.
The
Start point is the car park in Upton Upon Severn opposite the river and
adjacent to the Texaco garage and will be 10.00am for a 10.30 start.
Toilets are available at the car park and petrol can be obtained at the
adjacent texaco garage - Optimax lovers need to plan ahead as nearest
Shell garages are 15 miles away!

Tom Tom Files
There
is a file to get you to the pub where we are camping. A file to take
you to the start point of the run on Sunday and three files one for
each leg of the run on Sunday. Each one to be done on "fastest" route.
For those who prefer written pace notes they will be available tomorrow
evening for download. Right click each link and "save as" then transfer
them to you .itn folder in Tom Tom. Open them in Tom Tom by selecting
itinerary planning and selecting the appropriate file.
For those doing the Saturday morning run, the start point is The Marlbank Inn.
This
was our fourth year in The Malverns with this run and it was as good as
any and in many ways better. We had a great run out on the Saturday
morning to Andy's in The Forest of Dean and the whole camping thing
was quite simply a lot of fun. yes the camping weekend is a lot of fun
and a format we will definitely do again!
