Hotel Tiburtina Rome
We have now booked the final hotel for our Italian Road trip following the route of the Mille Miglia from Brescia to Rome and back. The last hotel for us to book was for our Rome stop, a two night stop to give us more time to take a look at Rome and it is the Hotel Roma Tiburtina. Below is the hotels own website description. A 3 stars Hotel, it is close to Tiburtina Street, in a quite area not too far from the city centre and to the main business and trade centre of Rome and well connected to them. In a modern building , very close to Ponte Mammolo and Rebibbia underground stations, on B line, the Hotel perfectly located to reach easily the city centre, the shopping, museums, tourist attractions and archaeological sites. Booking our Hotel, you will be able to relax, forgetting your chaotic working day. Moreover, the Hotel overlooks the valley of Aniene river and in summertime, from the terrace, there is a fine view of the river and the countryside. Our 3 stars Hotel has 7 comfortable rooms ( single, double and triple) on some floor with elevator and free wi-fi connection. The Hotel offers many services to customers, reception, breakfast hall, coffee bar which is opened in the afternoon too, and a large parking .
Driving in Rome was always going to be a nightmare so here we have what looks like the right solution for us - a hotel which is relatively easy to drive to with secure nearby parking and good quick access into Rome. I will let you know how it works out!
Mille Miglia - The World's Most Beautiful Car Race
Enzo Ferrari called Mille Miglia "the most beautiful car race in the world.": 1600 km (1000 miles) from the city of Brescia to Rome and back again.Reenactment of the famous race which was held from 1927 to 1957, occurs annually in May.
